Review Text

  • By Anne F. Parrish on September 17, 2015

An interesting account of the migration and culture of ethnic Germans to the Banat.

  • By Todd Slusar on January 10, 2014

Henry does an excellent job of telling the story of German immigrants going to Hungary starting in the early 1700's and struggles they had through present day. It is well written as a story and history lesson.

  • By Nancy G. Kennedy on December 30, 2013

This book contains very interesting information on the migration of Germans into Hungary at the time of Austria's defeat of the Ottoman occupation of the area

  • By Petewen on November 6, 2009

I enjoyed this book as well as the other one of this trilogy that has already been published. It is a fictionalized multi-generational history of the migration of the German Donauschwaben into Hungary. I can't wait for the conclusion to come out.

  • By Kathy Abfall on September 25, 2015

Nicely written combination of factual history and family story. A part of history that needs told.
