A book of old time old fashioned toys. The plans are pretty clear and their are some full color pictures of finished projects that help. It is helpful that you have some solid wood working experience before you would expect to be able to build all of the toys that this book has to offer.

This book is excellent in many ways and brings to life many 'old fashioned' Victorian style toys that provide endless amusement to children. A toy should be 10% toy and 90% imagination and the patterns in this book fulfill this adage.I have one criticism however. I have made most of the patterns within the book and the only problem I had was with the monkey that climbed the rope. The design for the internal working is incorrect and does not work in it's described state. It is only by adapting it that I could get it to work at all and then it wasn't as good as envisaged. I would suggest Mr Peppe revisit this to check his instructions.
